I think the cooling towers are good. But the text in both drawings needs to stand out more. How about the arts tower? ![](http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x310/roadiebikermg/P2230010.jpg) Simon, would you be able to put some decent text on this? would SUCC be better? (it definetely would be easier!)

Personally, I still think the millstone idea is the best. On Simon's photoshopped shirts it looks the best of the three. It's simple and imaginative; but I thionk it looks better without the swoop-line.
If you're worried about the text not standing out, how about leaving it out of the logo but printing "sheffield University" underneath the symbol or across the chest?

out of the 3 im gona go 4 jollys design i think, i like mikes idea but the rotor/wheel gives the best impression of going sumwher fast. havin said that i still think the grindstone could work with a bit of tweaking.
the cooling towers are a bit.. well.. bizarre to be honest. no1 wud associate them with us.
also a little bit too phallic for a club that wears lycra?

Any specific tweaking? They are rough sketches and the text is shocking. Simon, could you put the last sketch i did on a jersey to see what it looks like? (possibly erase the text as well)

yeah i think SUCC wud look good beneath the logo, with sheffield university written under that, as in si's photos. iv been tryin to find a way of getting the grindstone to look a bit more 'purposeful' but failed - ur last design is the best i reckon.
neway iv changed my mind, the peak district connection is a good one and i think we should probly go with that, not least because in 5 years time there mite not be disc brakes any more..

Agree with the grindstone logo, it looks good. But i think the basic jersey in Simon's photoshopped efforts is way too busy. Bigger logo, plainer jersey?

Someone who can do computer stuff can fiddle around with it to make it look better. ![](http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x310/roadiebikermg/untitled.png) ![](http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x310/roadiebikermg/untitled-1.jpg)

Yeah I think that looks pretty good, like the gindstone on it. Will it be ok having an image that has a full zip or something going through it?

Yer I'm pretty happy eith that. I agree that the grindstone is the best logo. Its a good point Andy makes about the zips going through it and I'm not really sure how it will work. Anyone got any ideas about the shorts now? Whats going on the rear of the shirt?

I reckon they all look mint. I prefer the 'Sheffield University CC' logo's as there are a few clubs called SUCC are there not?
That's just personal prefernce though. Good job guys!

What about just having 'Sheffield' written on the front, I mean its pretty obvious we are a cycling club (becasue we'll be riding bikes). I think that less letters look clearer/easier to read, but I agree with Sam on the 'SUCC' logo and there being a few clubs with that logo.
On the side panels we could have 'Sheffield University'. These look pretty clear in my experience, and you can get away with more words without ruining the logo.
As for the rear of the shirt how about the website on the collar maybe, and the logo as on the front? Or, if you want to be cheesy, the gridstone rolling away squashing something!

Having just 'Sheffield' on the front would mean there wouldn't be a problem with the zip going through the logo; we could have a small logo on the chest. On the back how about just a massive version of the logo?
As well as the side panels on the shorts how about 'Sheffield' written across the arse area of the shorts!?

OK there has been a decision made ........make a decision on the kit by monday so we can order it !
Also think what you want to order but bear in mind that 10 items of each are needed to avoid a surcharge.
i propose 1/4 zip jersey and shorts any others post so we can see if we have enough.
