Hi guys. I want to get some Flamboyant Apparrel sorted out for us roadies. The club is getting it's hoodies and xc kit from kitlocker but they don’t really do any descent road kit. I've found this company that offer reasonably priced customised kit. www.fcarvalho-ciclismo.com/clo/index.phpCheck it out and see what you think. There is an expensive set up fee of £160, but once that is paid then it lasts forever. We would need a fair amount of people committing to buying kit in order to meet the minimum order number and avoid a surcharge. The kit is relatively cheap and of good quality. Regarding the set up fee I'm hoping that a good chunk of this can come out of club funds but it may be necessary to spread some of this amongst us. Have a look at the site and think about whether you would definitely order something. If anyone has any other thoughts or ideas about kit then put them down here as well. Cheers

Looks and sounds good, I'd be up for getting Flamboyant Apparrel: the company and prices as you've said are reasonable and look good. Is the plan to get just jerseys or are people thinking the full monty with shorts as well?

Yeah looks good, meant to check that out earlier for you dave! Think it would be cool to have bibshorts and jerseys. Can get more than needed and then hold some size in stock for new years? Would be a bit of a risk paying and holding it, but people always want to seem to have Flamboyant Apparrel. Shorts and jersey under £45m seems good. Having Shef Uni on the shorts would seem good.
Im in!

I will definately get some kit for the busa road race. Does anyone know when it is? It always looks bad when you're in one club but racing in the kit of another!

Ill go for a jersey, most people get a Uni hoody, but i wear jerseys more than hoodies. Shorts depending on cost. Do you have to get all the same or could you get different types of shorts and jerseys. Whats the design? It would quite neat for BUSAs, we would have to get fast aswell! Which reminds me, i really i want to do spinning again.

What about having the same kit for road and xc? Its pretty much the same anyway. Then you caould also split the costs further. You'd just have to put 'cycle team' or something instead of 'road team'.

Cool, Seems like there is a fair bit of interest. If we could split it with the XC guys then that would be great. I was thinking that shorts and jersey would be fine, but if people want more then you can just order it. They do every bit of kit under the sun. I haven’t given the design much thought. You get a choice of 3 colours two of which would have to be black and yellow (the uni colours). Probably have the logo on the jersey and SUCC on the shorts. I'll speak to the rest of the committee when uni work has calmed down a bit and see what I can get sorted.
No kit is kept in stock as in previous years we haven’t had the money to have it tied up in kit. That is mainly why the rest of the kit is being got from kitlocker this year because individuals can order it as and when they like. Unfortunately they don't do road kit that is any good, which is why I’m looking at alternatives.
Keep posting on here if you’re interested as the more people the better.

If its black and yellow, why not have just the jersey and black shorts, maybe get the needle and thread out?!

you can get full zips no bother just have to specify what you want. The shorts are cheap enough for it to be easier to pay the money and not have to bother printing/embrioding kit ourselfs. Alot of other uni cycle clubs have pretty good kit, so it would be good if we had a nice looking kit as well.

Ok, With regards to the logo on the jersey. The downhill guys have come up with a new SUCC logo for their jerseys, check it out below. www.pinkbike.com/photo/1761482/Are you guys happy having that on our kit (bearing in mind it will also be used by the xc guys) or do we want something different?? The alternative is to have just the uni emblem etc, or feel free to design something yourselves. The second point is that we need to order 10 of each item to avoid a surcharge of 20%. I therefore propose that we order light weight shorts and 1/4 zip jerseys. Unless we make the minimum order number it is going to be marginal whether we do it or not. Also, not quoted in the prices on the website is an additional 21% VAT charge. We will hopefully have a design sorted by the end of next week, but I can't order anything without paying a deposit, so have a look at the site again and decide whether you want to commit to getting kit or not. Keep an eye on the forum for how to get money to me and what sizes you want etc. Cheers

what does 'jolly 32' mean? maybe a wheel would be more appropriate than a rotor. Or something totally different. ideas related to sheffield: -steel works -Peak district/Hills
I can justify the cost of a jersey, but not shorts.
