Endura seems really good to go for clothing - £60 to set up and all we need to do is order at least 15 items to get the standard prices. They have a really got online kit design. You have to create an account here first to save your design. My first attempt is below. Any Thoughts? Attachments:

I just "designed" one and it was exactly the same as yours. Seems quite limited. Designing by hand/pant allows people to be more radical.

Slghtly different design. It is quite limited but think it does look good - ask them if we can do different designs. Attachments:

As discussed in last nights meeting, I will take charge of looking into good companies for us Roadies whilst collaborating with Robyn and co from XC and post some links up here, if everyone else can continue to post up their ideas done in Paint/Photoshop so it can be democratic. We can't have 'SUCC' on our kit as Southampton University Cycling Club have that. It therefore needs to be 'UOSCC' and 'University of Sheffield' on the jersey rather than 'Sheffield Uni' so that kit looks decent. I'll post up my sketches, been discussing with Andy the concept of a retro looking kit. Looking forward to ordering it all and getting bibshorts as well this time. Gonna buy in bulk and early so that we have them for the Freshers Fair and make money for the club through Alumni.

Right, I've spent the evening researching companies and reading the old thread to try and learn from past mistakes. I looked into: Carvalho, Impsport, Velaco. Viking and more into Endura as well as in to some other smaller companies (please suggest another one if you know of a good one that might be good). Something that seemed to go wrong with last time's Viking kit was that they were based in Poland and often difficult to get hold of but the jerseys are of a high quality and a good fit. Therefore, fit, quality and simplicity in ordering are key to this kit's success. I'm personally keen to get this sorted asap so we can relax before exams and have it in time for the freshers fair. That said, Endura are probably our best option as their jerseys look a good fit and they are a reputable company that sell them at a fairly regular price of £38 each (for a short sleeve 3/4 concealed zip made of coolmax fabric) with the bibshorts being a tidy £40. I've set up an account for people to go and play around with the design tool... the Username is: weridebikes and the Password is: clubkit So everyone should try and design something, so we can try and incorporate what most people want, so get posting and I'll whack a couple up here too asap. The design must include: The University Logo (doing something interesting with this could be a new concept ... maybe on the back... arms... like John put on the shorts looks good) 'The University of Sheffield' across the chest at least... in a good font and with 'Sheffield' bigger than 'The University of' 'weridebikes.co.uk' 'Sheffield' down the side panels 'UOSCC' just above the bum and maybe down the side of the shorts and maybe 'The Bike Tree's logo somewhere if we can get them to subsidise the kit with some £££££ This is the sort of idea I think could look quite good (obviously in club colours) www.roadcyclinguk.com/news/images/Max03-hi.jpgand I found this link on the old thread for the last edition of kit which might help for some inspiration: www.prendas.co.uk/list.asp?typ=typ&ID=2Obvoously, the design tool is limited and Endura don't restrict their jerseys to those templates so please all tinker around come up with some jazzy ideas to show we're a classy bunch! I've taken to a pen and some markers to express my ideas... (see attached). The top 2 designs are for the retro, classical look and I'd consider the colour of the stripes again maybe, although they do make it a little different. However it's the bottom one I really like... Imagine it all black with the badge repeatedly all over it... as shown... could be different and could be the same all over the back too or maybe could get a high res badge to put on the back. What we thinking guys? Draw and Post! Get cracking and drawing people (doesn't have to be amazing - just needs to get a concept across) and we could shortlist 3 designs and do a poll or something unless one really stands out or we could mix and merge them Attachments:

I don't hang about! Got this from Luke Chen: "Hi there Jerome! I think the designs u drew are great, the first two were nice( not so much the one wit the badges in my opinion) Are u intending to go full zip on the tops? Have u considered parentini? www.parentini.com/deutsch/parentini-team-club.htmCheers" Everyone needs to get drawing... lets say give it 10 days (so Weds 20th) for the designs/input to be considered, so we can settle on a design and move onto production.

www.f2psport.com/Sportswear/process.phpJerome, u may also want to consider looking into this company? I may have some contacts with both parentini and f2p from whom I MAY be able to get a small discount but not too sure as I haven't checked. Regards Luke

Thanks Luke, I liked the look of that F2Psport and was getting sold by them and their lack of set up fees etc but then saw they hadn't any details on their jerseys and it said "Our products section is currently being updated with our new and expanded 2009 range. Please come back soon." so they don't seem too on the ball but I will certainly give them a call when we get to production stage and see what they can offer...
Designs guys!

I like the yellow-blue-yellow strips on the shoulders/neck/middle. Logos on the bottom of the front of the shorts will look good. Had another go Attachments:

I'm very much a fan of the logo on the front of the shorts and nice idea to get some logos on the back of the Jersey as long as I can get them to sponsor us in a tangible form. Yeah Dave, should be some collaboration on that front so we can look like a team throughout.
Keep it up guys!
