Right, what do we think of these? Take both as conceptual ideas... I'm liking the one with less blue on (with black and yellow stripes) more as I think they're more common uni colours and there'll be badges on it already providing the blue and I like the idea of the 'Campagnolo' style font. Obviously there wouldn't be white gaps around font, just for demonstration. Attachments:

Where is the blue coming from? I don't think the DH jersey needs to match with the xc/road. All the custom dh jerseys fit horribly, we really need a decent brand one printed up for DH. Where is baby blue coming from? It definitely distracts from black and gold and is a random colour chucked in. I think the baby blue will only work on a light yellow, if the yellow is too harsh it won't really work. Having said that (though this is discontinued): Keep big space for sponsors... and don't order until that is sorted. You don't need to order in 10days.

The sky blue is from the University logo and was intended just to add a bit more but I think you have a point and it should probably just stay in the badge. 10 days is intended to help us get a design sorted not production as May is a busy month academically so then once we have a design we can faff around with it's manufacture. Nice DH Jerseys though Henoir! Although it would look better if they do match-ish for the end of year photo etc but as long as they're along the same wavelength, they don't need to be identical, agreed.

I thought the custom ones were really good apart from that fact the neck was ridiculously small- not many other clubs have properly custom kit.
If we could get a decent branded jerseys that are black and yellow that would be mint, just need to keep an eye out for some.

Well, I like the current design, but I'm not here next year so I don't get a say. Below is my Sheffield colours interpretation of a well-known Dutch teams kit, with a wee bit of blue to appease those who like it . Bear in mind that if you want some form of sponsorship, now is the time to try and sort it, for three reasons: - if you're promising to put their logo/product on the kit, sort sponsorship before kit is printed. - the new tax year has just begun, so companies may have more flexibility on advertising/sponsorship. - it might be easier to ask sponsorship for something specific and tangible, i.e. asking them to support the costs of kit production in return for 1/2/3 years advertising and promotion on the kit is more explicit and definite than simply asking them to sponsor the club. Just suggestions.

Yeah Ed completely agree about all your points on sponsorship, very much on the same wavelength! And really like the middle jersey! I'll get onto sponsorship and stuff. Keep the designs coming in!

What do we think to TUOSCC / UOSCC / UoS CC
Think we should try for some accounting/audit firms for sponsor, they are more likely to provide actual cash worth of a proper jersey print. Don't want to give that real estate away for basic support, that is prime cash!
Can look at kit/banner for sponsorship. I think 1 year sponsorship contracts would be best.
3 main sponsors will be: accounting/bike shop/social venue.
I prefer black shoulders I think,

i really l;ike bands around the legs and arms and in the style of sky... for the final design wahtever we choose, we need to remember to check that if we have any words running up the side of the jersey/shorts that it will read the correct way when we are leant forward and cycling ie

haha yeah I was looking at our current jersey yesterday and realised the sheffield bit down the side was opposite so it read correctly, genius! I like your drawing of the human centipede by the way and yeah bands round the arms is a must... although these days less likely to be blue... I've got a new design I'll post up later and UOSCC Henry.

Thought I would do something more than find dh jerseys I like... no crayons for me, feeling the ms paint vibe... I call this one "retro chique", I like it. and a few fonts

That's great Henry!! A retro vibe is where we're heading... so the font research is great! As you can see in my design, I've hand drawn the 'Sheffield' bit like 'Edwardian script' so that's wicked. Including sponsors names has become my most recent focal point and I've been playing around with the idea of side yellow bits, a bit like last years... what do we think? Post up! Attachments:
