Thanks for both your replys, and the video posts........dh looks MENTAL, but definately something I think I wld enjoy getting into; however I'll take your advice Simon and start off with XC, save the bone breaking experience for later on. So I'll come along this Sun to the arts tower then......is it still cool for me to borrow your bike Simon (feel a bit cheeky)....if not no worries.....I'll ride myself ragged on BMX. In a couple of weeks I could potentially bring back my Mum's shitty Shockwave bike that she won in the pub raffle, lol.

Do you not think it would better to simulate a cross country race rather than have a time trial? yes there would be a bit of a sprint to the singletrack, but thats cross country for you. there would be loads of chances to pass on the fireroads and climbs, as will be the case for the BUSA. I'm not sure how long the warncliffe xc loop is but is two laps enough? i would guess that the BUSA will be 1.5 - 2 hours and so if we could do a practice race of this length it'd be better training for the real event.

If you can make it down to the arts tower at 11am on your bmx i will either be there or in wharncliffe (i need to mark the track out tomorrow morning). If im not there i will be at the track so if you follow everyone else il see you there.

Awesome! Good course and good race, cheers Simon! To the people who weren't there (coughcommitteecough) you missed out!
If anyone wants to do some gym training before the BUSAs then i'll be going down once or twice a week to work on core stability (really good for cycling). Things such as waist, abs, deltoids, back etc. If anyone want to join then contact me, I'm pretty flexible on days and times. (obviously there is no substitute for getting out on your bike though!)

Excellent race, loved it. I Thanks Simon, ( and for last minute bike prep!). Im back on the road for a while. To let my 'undercarriage' recover...
Wouldnt mind doing that more often Andy suggested having a road and offroad combined race.
