Dalby Forest and North York Moores

Possibility of another non club trip:

1st day (Saturday) Dalby forest red run which is wicked trail mainly single track about 23 miles. with lots of cut offs if you cant be bothered .Theres also a free ride park at the top end of the forest which is pretty cool.

2nd day Head somewhere on the north york moors route to be decided hopefully with Eoin's help.

We Would need about 5 hours to do the red run so would need to leave from the arts tower at about 9am for the 2 hour drive. Once round it would be back to either my house depending upon numbers or local village hall both about half an hour from dalby. (Pub in village ). Then head out for some fun on the moors and back to sheffield.

Van is not really an option as we wont have a driver but if we can get enough people with cars and rack it should be ok , and theres always the train.

If anyones scared off by the horrific £7 a car entry to dalby there is a solution which is to park at the side of the forest not at the visitors center amazingly its on the trail to!!!!

At the moment its a little up in the air as your the first person to be interested ital have to be some time after exams.

Weve got to fit in the B.U.S.A xc time trial thingy in one week after exams.post to follow when people get back to me.

onthe otha hand if theres a station nearby it don really matter - malton is abt 15 miles from dalby forest.

May be able to help with the transport as well, I've got a Van, the orange one if you were on the Wales trip. Can probs take about 8 bikes and 2 people in the front.

It will go ahead but will most likely be some time next term as the next few weeks are packed !!!
