for any1 who is hanging around i the peak district area over summer check out the trail quest dates at www.darkandwhite.co.uk trail quests are basically orienteering on a mountain bike, the summer evening events are 2hours long and you collect as many points as you can in 2 hours so you can make the ride as long or short as you want! its definately worth giving this a go, map reading and competing against people who could be at the other side of the map gives a differet edge to riding, and because the event start at different places throughout the peaks its a great chance to try out new areas. hopefully i'l be going along to most of thm so i'l be able to give a couple of people a lift! Sounds like fun... and I can read a map!
Not sure about this saturday's though - if it's nice like the current forecast I'll be required to fire the BBQ and sit and drink beer (oh the hardship); if it's wet like the forecast said a couple of days ago, it'll be very wet... But then at the start of the week the forecast was for pretty much continuous rain from Tuesday onwards!
