Hi, long time no nothing...
After many weeks months of midweek-grumping in front of a PC when I'd rather be out riding, I've finally wangled 'occasional' wednesday afternoons off* - just about in time for the summer I guess!
Do wednesday afternoon rides still happen during this term, with exams and stuff going on? And if so, are they still 2pm at the Ugly Tower?
Ta.
*Specifically, those wednesday afternoons when it's nice and I've got a bike with me! How cool is that?

Still going on for the next couple of weeks if people aren't too busy and then they may or may not be happening after the 21st May which is when exams start.
I finish on the 21st though so I will be up for some riding after this date. Post on here when you're free and we can organise something.

Cool - barring disaster (including someone turning up at lunchtime wanting something doing for yesterday morning) I should be out tomorrow (May 2nd) - 2pm at the Ugly Tower anyone?

Well, step 1 complete: Get to work with bike, tick, done.
Step 2: Keep low profile and avoid additional work for this pm.
Step 3: Hope knee doesn't give up and go home at 2:30...

I'm going for a ride with Chris after work (bout 5.30pm). If anyone fancies tagging along give me a call.
I think we're going to Stanage or summin.

I'm going nowhere, my knees feked for at least the next 2 weeks. Although I'll probably get bored and end up riding the road bike

Unlucky - this afternoon rocked like a Muse gig! Cheers gents, really enjoyed it. And I went from total numpty riding at 2:30 to only about 85% numpty by 6:30, which was very cool after so long "off".

T'was indeed a good ride. Always good to be shown new tracks even if they cause blood to be spilt.
I'm already trying to think up a route for next week.

I did warn you at the time the picture quality would be crap on that phone... If I'd known where we'd be going and how great the weather was going to be, I'd have brought the decent camera. Isn't hindsight wonderful?

Sorry - completely missed both chances to get pictures of people falling off bikes and getting wet / bloodied.

lol, everyone missed my tumble off the bridge (probable acause of the knee injury) as well, imagine how many crashes there would be if we knew we were being filmed!

Simon's (? - did warn you I was crap at names...) tumble off the bridge was brilliant.
"He's dabbed... but he's OK. No, he's going into the mill race... Wait, he's caught it... No, he really is going in!"
It should have ended in a big soaking but somehow he got away with nothing worse than damp feet.
