Right, assuming the weather is not completely shite next sunday, whose up for a decent ride in the peaks- probably over cut gate or, if anyone has/wants to use cars, out to edale somewhere. It would be good to get a decent ride in before the excesses of christmas and bastard exams after new year. So come on! Whose with me?
oh, and the xc lot won hands down with turnout on sunday with 5. Yes 5! Only 1 roady and 0 downhillers. My, how the tables have turned...mwuhahahahah.

You can count me in. Driving out sounds like a good idea with darkness arriving early. I can take 4 in my car, not sure if i can fit a 5th bike in, never tried!
The cut gate gets my vote but what starting time are we thinking. 11 might be too late once bike loaded, drive out and set up. How does 10 sound, or possibly earlier?

What ride did you want to do?
If we're goin to do cut gate then why dont we just ride out? Leaving at 11, we can be at ladybower by 12 if we take the road, which leaves us about 4hours to ride up and down big hills and get back before its pitch black. That should be enough. The only thing with a 10am start is getting enough people to read this thread.

yeah, think your right about starting at 11.
If we go over cut gate where else will we have time to go other than straight back the same way? I'll still be happy doing that.

Cut gate is great both ways, so we could ride over it and then back again. There are shitty bits but its very rocky so should be good even if its wet. We could even go to the teashop at derwent twice!

Hi there, I have just started working at the university a few weeks ago and I am keen to find a few people to go biking with. Do you guys mind if I tag along for the trip? If not can you let me know where and when to meet on Sunday? Cheers
Alan

For all those who didn't make it you missed big time.
But once my bike had been spongued down and ready for wednesday i noticed i've got a massive crack running almost the whole way round my down tube.
That'll be me out of action for a while. Gonna try and get in on warrenty

kona blast, 2000 model.
The warrenty might be void cos i put new forks on it. Could put the old ones back on but they don't work so that could be a problem.

I dont think that putting new 100mm xc forks onto a xc bike is going to void the warrantee. I'd be very supprised, you should be ok. Alumumium hardtails usually have a lifespan of about 5years under normal use too. Hope everythin gets sorted soon...
