Think I should be able to do the 18th if I keep on top of things this week. How about this as the roadie route? www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/33832078/?open_ive_done=1hope the link works... the route would be up the a57, reverse strines, Holmfirth, Holme Moss, Glossop, The Snake!, Abney, and Frogatt to finish things off...

Nice. 1800m of climbing. Also good if anyone is wasted they can come straight home up the A57 and miss out Abney and Frogatt.

I won't be there as going to Sweden that day. And to be honest it does sound a bit mental. I hope your bringing a lot of sugar!

The plan, I think, is to ride to York on Wednesday 18th May. It's a 150 mile route, which is entirely flat in the middle stretch of it, but the outward and homeward sections (leaving and entering Sheffield) are hilly. We will meeting at the Arts Tower at 4:00am, and returning most likely between 2pm and 4pm. You must have lights, it's dark until 4.30am, and please bring lots of food, and money to buy extra food along the route.

Well, I will certainly be making a pilgrimage to the little Betty's Tea rooms, and there's plenty of nice parks around the Minster to sit in and eat hot cross buns, Eccles cakes, Yorkshire fat rascals and Chelsea buns from said place.
