I'm plannning to ride 70 odd miles from central London to Bognor Regis on the south coast on, starting at midnight Friday 22nd April- when I'm at home over easter. This will be done on a BMX so that I can raise money to help fund a trip to volunteer for a charity in Romania in July.
Can anyone give me an idea how hard/stupid this might be? Don't worry about the night ride element, I've done plenty of those before (and ridden home again in the morning, but on a road bike!)
Cheers, Andy

Is it a BMX with a long seatpost? Or a new school one which all have tiny stubby ones? If the latter it's going to be hell!

i remember that in freshers ride (2008 i think), dale did it on a bmx. 16miles or so. Could you cheat and use a cruiser instead?
I did 12km every day on a cruiser this summer for 4 months, that was enough for me

If your bike's got pegs on it, can you give me a backie into town to get a Snickers?

Used to ride about 15miles down the a38 to get to the nearest Skatepark, was a killer and we rarely rode back. Tend to sprint up the speed then freewheel down again so a bit stop start, can't just keep pedaling smoothly.
