From an email from Andy Cox
Dear sport and AU contacts,
Please forgive the unsolicited email. I am a former BUCS Regional Student Chair and National Student Officer now working as a development Officer for British Cycling.
The reason I am contacting you is to ask for your help in promoting an opportunity within our department for a volunteer Young Official Development Officer (YODO). The YODO project has been running for a few years now, funded by the Youth Sports Trust with the aim of increasing the number and capability of young officials in sport. There are around 15 National Governing Bodies of sport already involved in this project, each with a YODO in post.
We are looking for somebody to fulfil this role who is a recent graduate, or current undergraduate taking a year out of their studies and who has a solid knowledge of cycle sport. They will gain a great insight into the world of sports development and will have a lasting impact on the development pathway of young people in our sport.
The link below is to the British Cycling vacancies page which includes all the details of the role. As I said it is a volunteer role but there are generous expenses available.

I would be extremely grateful if you would forward this email on to your cycling clubs or anybody you think may be interested, either for themselves or somebody they know. The closing date to submit the expression of interest form is listed on our website as today Friday 29th October (up until midnight). However as I have only sent this email today the deadline has now extended to 9am Monday 1st November.
Many thanks to you all and all the best for this year.
Andrew
