Hello. Will there be a ride tomorrow at 2? If so does anyone know what the route will be? A bit later in the year than planned I will be there for my first ride with the club!

I was thinking of heading through parks, plantations over houndkirk to burbage, then back via Dore.
That keeps us away from the normal road slog to burbage and I think ends up at around 16 miles?
It'll be good to see you out on your bike Matt.
I really enjoyed the sunday ride off stanage to ladybower+derwent. It was beautiful weather and stunning views all day. I think it ended up around 25 miles.
See you all at 2pm at the arts tower, with your membership and wales trip money.

Thank you to everyone who came out today. We started with the same number of people that came on the wet freshers ride so a fantastic turnout for so late in the semester.
I hope you all enjoyed the slightly illicit route despite all the mechanicals and injuries. I hope anyone with anything damaged repairs it soon and can join us again.
Sunday 24ths ride will again go over Stanage, then on to a new destination, so bring nutrition because it will be longer than a wednesday ride.
See you then.

Cheers for today everyone and commiserations to Sam for snapping his frame.
Bit of a different route back; if you want to do it regularly just shout out next time your on a ride and we'll try to stick it in more often.
Sunday I'm thinking of heading out to the Legendary Wharncliffe. Ride the now muddy XC loop, then mince down some downhill tracks.

So I’m leading the ride on Wednesday and was thinking Ranmoor to Rivelin Dam, then over to Plantations, Houndkirk, Blackamoor, Dore and back through Endcliffe Park on Robin’s route from last week.
Meeting at 1:30 at the arts tower. This route is around 20 miles so make sure you bring lights as it could be dark towards the end!

Cold, wet and cold ride today. Thanks to Scott for leading us to the exciting area around Rivelin.
Since we are off to Wales this weekend there is no sunday ride. People coming on the 'Wales' Trip: We are meeting 6:30 on Saturday morning at the Arts Tower. There will be another post up soon telling you what else to bring.
The next club ride will be on Wednesday 10th November starting at 1:30. Hopefully nice and gentle.

So cold, and so wet. Awesome ride though, but I really do need to get fitter to lug that on-one around the peaks!

Yeah, it was awesome, almost epic! Only problem though was taking that many people along Ranmoor and whilst wearing sheff uni jerseys.... I definitely think that, in future, people should just ride it in small groups of 2 or 3 and only during the week.

Yes agreed, Ranmoor is for small groups only, unless the weather is so bad nobody is silly enough to come out walking.
Also no Sheffield University Jerseys, obviously, we do not want a bad rap... Besides teh 2nd half of it is really good and all rideable, and there is other really good stuff up there as well, which is less busy.
Apologies I wasn't there, got 2 exams tomorrow...

Wednesday (17th Nov) is the day of the LifeCycles Social, but we can't let that stop us riding so we'll do a short (standard wednesday) cross country route so everyone is back with time to get spruced up. We'll do a short route straight over Houndkirk from Ringinglow, up over Totley moor right to the bottom of Blacka, before climbing back to do the minidrops in Blacka. Meet 1:30 at the arts tower for the ride. 8:00 at the showroom for Lifecycles + Vast: Get your own tickets beforehand. 9:30 at walkabout for the social.

A reminder that Sundays ride is replaced by the Ghetto Race. Meeting like usual at the arts tower at 11:00. Come even if you aren't interested in racing because it is GREAT FUN! Some of you may be interested in an epic ride on saturday. This is being lead by Dan Smith starting at 6:30am at endcliffe parks, or 9:00am at Hathersage Station. A word of warning. This is a reasonably fast, technical ride and longer than our normal sunday rides. I won't be going since I have muchos work to be doing. Facebook: An Epic Saturday Ride

I could be persuaded. As long as we get at least one another person.
On the other hand, I will be very happy to stay at home working on dissertation.
