what on earth is ant+ ?!!
I have discovered my Trek has an inbuilt DuoTrap thing in the chain stay that allows a speed/cadence sensor to be fitted.
But what does that actually mean? Will it work with my cateye computer?

Its for Garmin computers, don't think it will work with cateye.
EDIT: A bit of research is showing it is a seperate company with patented technology that garmin use, so might work with cateye, but probably only more expensive versions. Ive only ever seen it with Garmins before, edge 705 is def compatible.

Fraid not, you need a Powertap hub for that. In the case of Treks the Duotrap is only really useful with Garmins and other ANT+ cyclocomps. (The comp should say ANT+ somewhere on the box/manual). The industry is trying to make ANT+ the global standard for bike stuff, but it hasn't quite taken hold yet.
