Alright people, its that time of year again!!!! ;D I propose saturday 10th May, meet at 4am outside the arts tower, ride, and then go off to an all you can eat in town (open to suggestions). Here is a proposed route, if anyone wants to add or change anything feel free:
ranmoor singletrack, stanage, down to bamford, up winhill, hope cross, down through hope, up broken road, around top of mamtor to hollins cross, down to edale road, back up to hope cross, left over and down to snake pass, up to hagg farm, down to cafe, up other side derwent edge, down to cut throat bridge, off to all you can eat?!?!?
The roadies have also mentionned that they will join us (but obviousely do their own ride) and as usual the downhillers can join the xcers and miss out a few of the loops which we will be doing.
So, whos there?

sounds good man, if you want more I know a good 55ish mile route with a possible 17ish mile extension, it took me and pete 10 and half hours to do, was worth it though!
route is: out thru the parks, stanage, bamford, shatton, cement works, cavedale, broken road, rushup edge, hayfield, jacobs ladder, edale, jaggers clough, rowlee farm, ladybower, up other side, cut throat bridge, A57 home.
Thinking about it yours is probably a better bet, we were seriously wrecked after we did this!

Sounds Like a good ride!! To be honest we are probably best making it up on the day, depending on weather/fitness etc. I remember 2 years ago we didn't even manage the first route because people weren't fit enough, but a possibility is to split into 2 groups when we get to Hope or somewhere.

I shall strive to be there at 4pm and see whoever roadies turn up, I shall try and encourage participation to the event. What time do you intend returning to sheffield, so that can try and plan a route that allows us to be back at roughly the same time period?

4am, not 4pm!!!!! The plan is to be back at about 3 so that we can head down for all you can eat. If pizza hut don't do all you can eat at this time then we'll pick somewhere else!

So, it looks like we can't eat at crookes tandoori as it doesn't do all you can eat on saturdays. Anyone have any other places they want to go (not wok mania though!!). What about that indian in town near ponds forge?

That was an awesome ride and BBQ. I am still reminiscing those hilly trails. Apologies for my sleepy ramblings/getting lost etc. I think i shall do some more rides like that, how about dawn-dusk ride on midsummers day
