Lads and lasses! The season is upon us! I'm going to do this one! Probably the 45 miler one so sign up too! Will be a good laugh and a nice bit of prevarsity training! Think of it as the Tour de Suisse for the TDF! so who's good fun and gonna join up? www.kilotogo.com/index.php?option=event_detail&event_id=23

I'm probably going to enter this audax at Hathersage in early march to judge my early season form - the 112km one. Anyone else fancy it?

Does this mean you are going to be racing this year John?

Unless it's handlebar bag toting and cafe stopping form you're interested in, it might not be a very good assessment.
My mate Anton and I did Spring in the Peak a few years ago and finished first by about half an hour (despite cafe stop, wrong turns and not trying to "beat" anyone). Audaxes have a minimum time limit too so don't go too fast! Lovely route though, i might join you.

Does this mean you are going to be racing this year John? Maybe. But I don't do anything by half, so if I am fit enough and have enough time to train then I will. Adam - there is a minimum time? Just the length at 70 miles over very hilly terrain to test my legs. Let me know if you want to ride - only 4 quid. Will see if I can round up people from my home club on Sunday.

Yes, you don't get your brevet card stamped if you finish too quickly. And then you won't get points towards collecting your randonneur badge! Audaxing is a funny old game.
I mgith be running a 10km that day but if not i'll do it for sure. Do you need to be a member of audax UK to enter though? (i was last time i did it).

This Hathersage audax sounds like fun: wonderfully and unnecessarily hilly, I might join you. I'll start growing my beard.
