Right so the British Universities Hill Climb is taking place up Curbar Gap in the peak district just outside Sheffield on saturday 30th october. It's a really good atmosphere and is really close to Sheffield (so we'll ride out there). Please do come along to ride it or to cheer on Sheffield Uni / booing Hallam Scum. So far those who want to ride it are, Me Adam D Jonny Andy C Matt T Who else? Any of you XC/ downhill boys think you hard enough? Those who want to enter please fill in The Entry Form, print it and give it to me. I will fill in the eligibility forms for those who have entered, put everything together in one big envelope and send them all to the organiser. PLEASE GIVE ME YOUR ENTRY FORMS NO LATER THAN THE 14th of OCTOBER. Please be aware that the club WILL PAY YOUR ENTRY FREE. Please also check the NON-BUCS HILL CLIMB feed for other hills climbs people from the club are riding. If anything doesn't make sense let me know. Hope this helps:) John.

Best of luck to you all. I'm in two minds about missing it: it is a fantastically fun event and a good one to to end the summer and start the uni year with. On the other hand I'm comforted in the knowledge that it's bound to be wet, windy and cold. Again.
I hope to see Sheffield back on the podium and I am looking forward to seeing the pictures of pain!

I've never tried anything of this sort before, but would like to give it a try. I reckon i'll have a ride out and try it a few times so I know what i'm letting myself in for! The freshers ride was good and especially the soup and cheese on toast at fox house.... hope to be more of a regular this year than I was last year. If any girls in the club would be up for having a ride some time i'd be up for it. nicky

Doing the hill climb is good fun. If you are out next wednesday we will ride out and do the hill climb. If you can print off the entry form and give it to me on weds that would be good. I'll talk to holly about girl rides.

OK I need your entry forms ASAP but NO LATER THAN 14th OCTOBER AND DO REMEMBER TO FILL THE BACK OF THE ENTRY FORM IN - THE CLUB WILL PAY FOR YOUR ENTRY. Ideally if people can give me the form during the ride this Wednesday or next Wednesday then that would be great. If want to ride the hill climb but cannot make the next two rides then I work in the Dainton building (the chemistry department just opposite the IC) everyday from around 8.30am to 5.30pm. You can e-mail me at j.albaya@sheffield.ac.uk to arrange a time to drop it off. Hope this helps John
